Natural Resources Canada
Data Dissemination Branch – Earth Science Sector
This workshop is to learn about Natural Resources Canada online mapping databases. It is an opportunity to establish and improve the methodology used to carry out map and data research.
This training will not only provide you with new geographic reference tools, but it will familiarise you with:
• Basic terminology
• Locating a map in Canada
• Open Source GeoServer
• Open Source Freeware
• Conversion tools
You will discover resources in:
• Hydrology (National Hydro Network)
• Hydrogeology
• Geology (surface and subsurface)
• Geographic (topography, National road network, elevation)
The training will be offered in English (and in French – depending on the requests) by Mrs Isabelle Martineau of the Quebec Geoscientific Centre.
